Protein Length : 15-660 a.a.
Description : NLGN2 is one of severaltype I transmembrane Neuroligins that are expressed on neuronal postsynapticdensities. Neuroligins play an important role in synaptic development andfunction. Mature human NLGN2 is a 105 kDa protein that consists of a 663amino acid extracellular domain with a catalytically inactive cholinesterase-likedomain, a 21 aa transmembrane segment, and a 137 aa cytoplasmic tail. Withinthe ECD, human NLGN2 shares 98% aa sequence identity with mouse and ratNLGN2.
Form : Lyophilized from a0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS.
N-terminalSequence : Gln15 predicted
Molecular Weight : 72 kDa
Activity : Measuredby its binding ability in a functional ELISA. When recombinant human NLGN2 is immobilized at 1.5 μg/mL, recombinant human Neurexin1β Fc Chimera binds with an apparent KD < 10 nM.
Endotoxin Level : <1.0 EUper 1 μg of the protein by the LAL method.
SDS-PAGE : 85-95kDa, reducing conditions.
Purity : >95%,by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions and visualized by silver stain.
Reconstitution : 400μg/mL in PBS
Storage : Use amanual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. 12 months fromdate of receipt, -20 to -70°C as supplied. 1 month, 2 to 8°C under sterileconditions after reconstitution. 3 months, -20 to -70°C under sterile conditionsafter reconstitution.
