Protein Length : 30-193 a.a.
Description : This gene is a member of the EPO/TPO family and encodes a secreted, glycosylated cytokine composed of four alpha helical bundles. The protein is found in the plasma and regulates red cell production by promoting erythroid differentiation and initiating hemoglobin synthesis. This protein also has neuroprotective activity against a variety of potential brain injuries and antiapoptotic functions in several tissue types.
Form : Lyophilized from 0.2 μm-filtered solution in PBS.
Bio-activity : Measured by the dose-dependant stimulation of human megakaryoblastic leukemia cells.
Molecular Mass : 44KDa (monomer)
AA Sequence : (Pro30-Arg193) (Arg103Glu)
Endotoxin : <0.06 eu/μg="" as="" determined="" by="" lal="" test.="">
Purity : >98%, by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions
Stability : Stable for at least 1 year after receipt when stored at -20°C. Working aliquots are stable for up to 3 months when stored at -20°C.
Reconstitution : Reconstitute at 100 μg/ml in sterile PBS.
