• Description: M-CSF (Macrophage Colony stimulating Factor) is a hematopoietic stem cell factor and produced by various cell types including lymphocytes, fibroblasts, endothelial cells, myoblasts, monocytes, and osteoblasts. It is involved in the proliferation, differentiation, and survival of monocytes, macrophages, and bone marrow progenitor cells.
• Bio-activity: The activity was measured by its ability to stimulate the proliferation of murine M-NFS-60 cells (Mouse Myeloid Leukemia indicator cell line).
