Description : | DSL contains two chains of 40 kDa and 46 kDa joined by disulfide bonds. This lectin is free of a reported 32 kDa contaminant protein. The carbohydrate binding site recognizes (β-1,4) linked N-acetylglucosamine oligomers, preferring chitobiose or chitotriose over a single N-acetylglucosamine residue. This lectin binds well in the acidic pH range but its affinity decreases above pH 8.0. |
Form : | 10 mM HEPES, 0.15 M NaCl, pH 7.5, 0.08% sodium azide, 0.1 mM Ca2+ |
Bio-activity : | Inhibiting/Eluting Sugar: Chitin Hydrolysate |
Molecular Mass : | 86 Kda |
Applications : | Immunofluorescence, Glycobiology |
Usage : | The recommended concentration range for use is 5-20 µg/ml. |
Storage : | Refrigerate in the dark. If a precipitate forms upon long-term storage, warm to 37 centigrade. and centrifuge before use. |
