• Description: PDGF is a multipotent cell growth factor, divided into three physiologically active forms, AA/AB/BB, which can promote the growth of fibroblasts in both skin and soft tissue injury, among which the BB form can promote the growth of fibroblasts. PDGF induces chemotaxis of fibroblasts and smooth muscle cells, which is extremely important in the process of injury repair. 2, vasoconstrictive effect, the effect of PDGF in contracting rat aorta is stronger than that of angiotensin II. 3, pro-cell division effect, PDGF can stimulate the division and proliferation of various cells such as smooth muscle cells, fibroblasts and glial cells, and regulate the renewal of extracellular matrix by stimulating collagen synthesis and collagenase activation. PDGF stimulates the renewal of extracellular matrix, and eventually DNA synthesis and cell lysis and proliferation. In addition, PDGF binding to its receptor can affect the cytoskeleton and cell membrane in skeletal muscle, resulting in cytoskeletal rearrangement.
