TKT
-
Official Full Name
transketolase -
Overview
This gene encodes a thiamine-dependent enzyme which plays a role in the channeling of excess sugar phosphates to glycolysis in the pentose phosphate pathway. Multiple alternatively spliced variants, encoding the same protein, have been identified. -
