The MHC molecule provides a context for the recognition of antigens by T lymphocytes. HLA-DR13 is associated with resistance to hepatitis B virus infection. -

Protein Function
HLA-DRB1 has several biochemical functions, for example, MHC class II protein complex binding,MHC class II receptor activity,peptide antigen binding.
