SRI
-
Official Full Name
sorcin -
Overview
Sorcin, also known as SRI, is a 22-kDa calcium-binding protein initially identified in multidrug-resistant cells. SRI modulates excitation-contraction coupling in the heart and contributes to calcium homeostasis in the heart sarcoplasmic reticulum. -

Protein Function
SRI has several biochemical functions, for example, calcium channel regulator activity, calcium ion binding,calcium-dependent cysteine-type endopeptidase activity. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by SRI itself. We selected most functions SRI had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with SRI. You can find most of the proteins on our site.
