PAK1
-
Official Full Name
p21 protein (Cdc42/Rac)-activated kinase 1 -
Overview
Alpha PAK p68, beta PAK p65 and gamma PAK p62 are three isoforms of serine/threonine kinases. These three isoforms complex specifically with Rac1 and Cdc42 in their active GTP-bound state, inhibiting their intrinsic GTPase activity leading to their autophosphorylation. -

Protein Function
PAK1 has several biochemical functions, for example, ATP binding,Rac GTPase binding, collagen binding. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by PAK1 itself. We selected most functions PAK1 had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with PAK1. You can find most of the proteins on our site.
