HGS
-
Official Full Name
hepatocyte growth factor-regulated tyrosine kinase substrate -
Overview
Hepatocyte growth factor-regulated tyrosine kinase substrate . In order to perform this function, HRS is ubiquitinated at its ubiquitin interacting motif (UIM). This allows interaction of HRS with similarly ubiquitinated vesicle-related proteins such as STAM1 and Eps15, as well as ubiquitinated receptors tagged for lysosomal degradation. Complexes of HRS and STAM1 are located in vesicular membranes and regulate the sorting of tagged receptors to the lysosomes. -

Protein Function
HGS has several biochemical functions, for example, metal ion binding, protein binding, protein domain specific binding. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by HGS itself. We selected most functions HGS had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with HGS. You can find most of the proteins on our site.

Interacting Protein
HGS has direct interactions with proteins and molecules. Those interactions were detected by several methods such as yeast two hybrid, co-IP, pull-down and so on. We selected proteins and molecules interacted with HGS here. Most of them are supplied by our site. Hope this information will be useful for your research of HGS.
