Overview
The proto-oncogene ETS1 (E-twenty-six-specific sequence) is the founding member of a family of transcrIPPtion factors that share a highly conserved DNA-binding domain, called the ETS domain, which recognizes a nucleotide motif with a GGAA/T core sequence. -

Protein Function
ETS1 has several biochemical functions, for example, DNA binding,RNA polymerase II transcription factor activity, sequence-specific DNA binding,histone acetyltransferase binding.
