Protein Function
TYW5 has several biochemical functions, for example, iron ion binding,oxidoreductase activity, acting on paired donors, with incorporation or reduction of molecular oxygen, 2-oxoglutarate as one donor, and incorporation of one atom each of oxygen into both donors,protein homodimerization activity. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by TYW5 itself.
