TUBB
-
Official Full Name
tubulin, beta class I -
Overview
Tubulin is the major constituent of microtubules. It binds two moles of GTP, one at an exchangeable site on the beta chain and one at a non-exchangeable site on the alpha-chain. -

Protein Function
TUBB has several biochemical functions, for example, GTP binding,GTPase activating protein binding,GTPase activity. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by TUBB itself. We selected most functions TUBB had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with TUBB. You can find most of the proteins on our site.

Interacting Protein
TUBB has direct interactions with proteins and molecules. Those interactions were detected by several methods such as yeast two hybrid, co-IP, pull-down and so on. We selected proteins and molecules interacted with TUBB here. Most of them are supplied by our site. Hope this information will be useful for your research of TUBB.
