Official Full Name
solute carrier family 10 (sodium/bile acid cotransporter family), member 2 -
Overview
Ileal sodium/bile acid cotransporter also known as ileal sodium-dependent bile acid transporter (ISBT or IBAT) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SLC10A2 (solute carrier family 10 member 2) gene. -

Involved Pathway
SLC10A2 involved in several pathways and played different roles in them. We selected most pathways SLC10A2 participated on our site, such as Bile secretion, which may be useful for your reference. Also, other proteins which involved in the same pathway with SLC10A2 were listed below. Creative BioMart supplied nearly all the proteins listed, you can search them on our site.
Pathway Name | Pathway Related Protein |
---|---|
Bile secretion | AQP4,SLCO1A6,SLC9A3,CFTR,SLC22A1,ADCY3,HMGCR,SLC22A8,SLCO1B2,ABCC3 |
Protein Function
SLC10A2 has several biochemical functions, for example, bile acid:sodium symporter activity. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by SLC10A2 itself. We selected most functions SLC10A2 had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with SLC10A2. You can find most of the proteins on our site.

bile acid:sodium symporter activity | SLC10A6,SLC10A4,SLC10A3,SLC10A1 |
Interacting Protein
SLC10A2 has direct interactions with proteins and molecules. Those interactions were detected by several methods such as yeast two hybrid, co-IP, pull-down and so on. We selected proteins and molecules interacted with SLC10A2 here. Most of them are supplied by our site. Hope this information will be useful for your research of SLC10A2.
