OCRL

  • Official Full Name

    oculocerebrorenal syndrome of Lowe
  • Overview

This gene encodes a phosphatase enzyme that is involved in actin polymerization and is found in the trans-Golgi network. Mutations in this gene cause oculocerebrorenal syndrome of Lowe and also Dent disease.

    Protein Function

OCRL has several biochemical functions, for example, GTPase activator activity,Rac GTPase binding, inositol phosphate phosphatase activity. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by OCRL itself. We selected most functions OCRL had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with OCRL. You can find most of the proteins on our site.
