KCNK1
-
Official Full Name
potassium channel, subfamily K, member 1 -
Overview
This gene encodes one of the members of the superfamily of potassium channel proteins containing two pore-forming P domains. The product of this gene has not been shown to be a functional channel, however, it may require other non-pore-forming proteins for activity. -

Protein Function
KCNK1 has several biochemical functions, for example, inward rectifier potassium channel activity, potassium channel activity, potassium ion leak channel activity. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by KCNK1 itself. We selected most functions KCNK1 had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with KCNK1. You can find most of the proteins on our site.

Interacting Protein
KCNK1 has direct interactions with proteins and molecules. Those interactions were detected by several methods such as yeast two hybrid, co-IP, pull-down and so on. We selected proteins and molecules interacted with KCNK1 here. Most of them are supplied by our site. Hope this information will be useful for your research of KCNK1.
