ESCO2

  • Official Full Name

establishment of cohesion 1 homolog 2 (S. cerevisiae)
  • Overview

This gene encodes a protein that may have acetyltransferase activity and may be required for the establishment of sister chromatid cohesion during the S phase of mitosis. Mutations in this gene have been associated with Roberts syndrome.

    Protein Function

ESCO2 has several biochemical functions, for example, lysine N-acetyltransferase activity, acting on acetyl phosphate as donor, metal ion binding. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by ESCO2 itself. We selected most functions ESCO2 had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with ESCO2. You can find most of the proteins on our site.

    Interacting Protein

ESCO2 has direct interactions with proteins and molecules. Those interactions were detected by several methods such as yeast two hybrid, co-IP, pull-down and so on. We selected proteins and molecules interacted with ESCO2 here. Most of them are supplied by our site. Hope this information will be useful for your research of ESCO2.
