GRIP1

  • Official Full Name

    glutamate receptor interacting protein 1
  • Overview

This gene encodes a member of the glutamate receptor interacting protein family. The encoded scaffold protein binds to and mediates the trafficking and membrane organization of a number of transmembrane proteins. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described.
  • Synonyms

    GRIP1;glutamate receptor interacting protein 1;glutamate receptor-interacting protein 1;GRIP-1;AMPA receptor-interacting protein GRIP1

    Protein Function

GRIP1 has several biochemical functions, for example, androgen receptor binding,beta-catenin binding, glucocorticoid receptor binding. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by GRIP1 itself. We selected most functions GRIP1 had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with GRIP1. You can find most of the proteins on our site.
