GCGR
-
Official Full Name
glucagon receptor -
Overview
The protein encoded by this gene is a glucagon receptor that is important in controlling blood glucose levels. Defects in this gene are a cause of non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM). -

Involved Pathway
GCGR involved in several pathways and played different roles in them. We selected most pathways GCGR participated on our site, such as Neuroactive ligand-receptor interaction, which may be useful for your reference. Also, other proteins which involved in the same pathway with GCGR were listed below. Creative BioMart supplied nearly all the proteins listed, you can search them on our site.

Protein Function
GCGR has several biochemical functions, for example, guanyl-nucleotide exchange factor activity, peptide hormone binding. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by GCGR itself. We selected most functions GCGR had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with GCGR. You can find most of the proteins on our site.
