FER
-
Official Full Name
fer (fps/fes related) tyrosine kinase -
Overview
FER tyrosine kinase is involved in cadherin, PECAM-1, and integrin mediated cytoskeletal connections. More recent research has also linked FER to decreasing the innate immune response. FER has also been implicated in the control of lipopolysaccharide induced epithelial dysfunction. FER has been shown to be essential in microtubule characteristics in the oocyte meiotic spindle and could also play a role in germinal vesicle breakdown. -
