What is PLA2G12A Protein
The PLA2G12A protein, found in Homo sapiens, is encoded by the PLA2G12A gene. It was originally discovered and identified via the comparison with other known phospholipase A2, in particular by analysing its genomic DNA sequence. The gene locus of the PLA2G12A protein is assigned to chromosome 10, or, explicitly, 10q25.2, which has been known to be associated with the onset of several diseases.
