TLR8
-
Official Full Name
toll-like receptor 8 -
Overview
Toll like receptor 8 (TLR8) family in mammals is comprised of a family of transmembrane proteins which contain multiple leucine rich repeats in the extracellular domain and IL-1 receptor motif in the cytoplasmic domains. Like its counterparts in Drosophila, TLRs signal through adaptor molecules. The TLR8 gene contains three exons, two of which have coding function. TLR8 cDNA codes for a protein of approximate molecular weight of 120 kDa. -

Involved Pathway
TLR8 involved in several pathways and played different roles in them. We selected most pathways TLR8 participated on our site, such as Toll-like receptor signaling pathway, which may be useful for your reference. Also, other proteins which involved in the same pathway with TLR8 were listed below. Creative BioMart supplied nearly all the proteins listed, you can search them on our site.

Protein Function
TLR8 has several biochemical functions, for example, DNA binding,double-stranded RNA binding, drug binding. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by TLR8 itself. We selected most functions TLR8 had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with TLR8. You can find most of the proteins on our site.

Interacting Protein
TLR8 has direct interactions with proteins and molecules. Those interactions were detected by several methods such as yeast two hybrid, co-IP, pull-down and so on. We selected proteins and molecules interacted with TLR8 here. Most of them are supplied by our site. Hope this information will be useful for your research of TLR8.
