RHBG
-
Official Full Name
Rh family, B glycoprotein (gene/pseudogene) -
Overview
This gene encodes one of two non-erythroid members of the Rhesus (Rh) protein family. Non-erythroid Rh protein family members are mainly expressed in the kidney and belong to the methylammonium-ammonium permease/ammonia transporters superfamily. All Rh family proteins are predicted to be transmembrane proteins with 12 membrane spanning domains and intracytoplasmic N- and C-termini. Two alternatively splice transcript variants have been described for this gene. -

Protein Function
RHBG has several biochemical functions, for example, ammonium transmembrane transporter activity, ankyrin binding. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by RHBG itself. We selected most functions RHBG had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with RHBG. You can find most of the proteins on our site.
