PPL
-
Official Full Name
Periplakin
-
Overview
Periplakin, or PPL, is a component of the cornified envelope of keratinocytes. It may link the cornified envelope to desmosomes and intermediate filaments and act as a localization signal in PKB/AKT-mediated signaling. -
Synonyms
PPL; periplakin; 190 kDa paraneoplastic pemphigus antigen; 195 kDa cornified envelope precursor protein; KIAA0568; MGC134872; OTTHUMP00000159922;
