Overview
The vertebrate DMRT gene family encodes putative transcription factors related to the sexual regulators Doublesex (Drosophila) and MAB-3 (Worm). DMRT8 is related to DMRT7 and located on the X chromosome in placental mammals. DMRT8.2 expression is restricted to male and female gonads and may be involved in mouse sexual development. -
