NAT
-
Official Full Name
N-acetyltransferase -
Overview
N-acetyltransferase is an enzyme that catalyzes the transfer of acetyl groups from acetyl-CoA to arylamines. They have wide specificity for aromatic amines, particularly serotonin, and can also catalyze acetyl transfer between arylamines without CoA. EC 2 -

Protein Function
NAT has several biochemical functions, for example, arylamine N-acetyltransferase activity. Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by NAT itself. We selected most functions NAT had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with NAT. You can find most of the proteins on our site.

Interacting Protein
NAT has direct interactions with proteins and molecules. Those interactions were detected by several methods such as yeast two hybrid, co-IP, pull-down and so on. We selected proteins and molecules interacted with NAT here. Most of them are supplied by our site. Hope this information will be useful for your research of NAT.
