The CCRF-CEM cell line was originally derived from the isolation and continuous propagation of a line of lymphoblasts of peripheral buffy coat cells from the blood of a patient with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. These cells are used in cancer research as a cell model for adult leukemia and Burkitt's lymphoma. |
