Cat.No.:  PE-3813
Product Name:  CREB binding protein (mouse), (recombinant) (His-tag)
Description:  Fused at the C-terminus to a His-tag. Produced in a baculovirus expression system.
Background:  Although originally termed histone acetyltransferases (HATs) for their lysine acetylation activity on histone N-terminal tails, CBP and its paralogue, p300, have been shown to acetylate a variety of non-histone proteins including p54, DNA polymerase β annuclear import factors. p300/CBP acetylations play regulatory roles in transcription, DNA repair and replication, the cell cycle, p53 turnover, and nuclear import. In addition to functions which overlap with those of p300, CBP has a number of unique functions, including a role in p27Kip1 induction.
Storage:  Store at 4℃ if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store at -20℃ or -80℃ for longer periods of time. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
