Cat.No.:  PE-3614
Product Name:  Recombinant TAF1L (1392-1654) protein
Product Overview:  The peptide corresponding to amino acids 1392-1654 that contains the bromodomain sequences of TAF1L (accession number NP_722516.1) was expressed in E. coli and contains an N-terminal His-Tag and C-terminal FLAG-Tag with an observed molecular weight of 33.9 kDa.
Background:  TAF1 RNA polymerase II, TATA box binding protein (TBP)-associated factor, 210 kDa-like (TAF1L) is homologous to TAF1 and contains bromodomains for interaction with other proteins. The bromodomain functions as a ‘reader’ of epigenetic histone marks and regulates chromatin structure and gene expression by linking associated proteins to the recognized acetylated nucleosomal targets. TAF1L is specifically expressed in the testis in male germ cells. It may act as a functional substitute for TAF1 during male meiosis when sex chromosomes are transcriptionally silenced.
Applications:  Suitable for use in binding assays, inhibitor screening, and selectivity profiling.
