CECR2 is a member of the CERF chromatin remodeling complex, also containing SNF2L / SMARCA1. The bromodomain from CECR2 binds several sites of histone acetylation on H2A, H2B and H3. The CECR2 gene a candidate for Cat Eye Syndrome, a developmental defect resulting from a duplication of the region of chromosome 22 that contains CECR2. |
