Cat.No.:  PE-3040
Product Name:  SET1B Complex (5-subunits)
Description:  SET1B Complex is a complex catalyzing the transcription-activating methylation of histone H3 lysine-4 and comprising a catalytic, SET domain-containing subunit, SET1B (SETD1B), plus the subunits of an activity-enhancing sub-complex—WDR5, RbBP5, Ash2L and DPY-30 (2 copies). In contrast to the H3K4-methylating activities of other MLL/SET1 family members that are more narrowly focused (e.g. MLL1 and MLL2 and the HOX genes), human SET1-containing complexes (SET1A and SET1B) appear to be responsible for widespread H3K4 trimethylation. However, the subnuclear localizations of SET1A and SET1B appear to overlap very little, suggesting that they may regulate different sets of genes.
