Applications :
The Anti-Human CD56 (NCAM) PE Antibody is a fluorochrome-conjugated monoclonal antibody for flow cytometric detection of CD56, the 140 kDa isoform of the neural cell adhesion molecule (NCAM-1), on human lymphocytes. CD56 is the prototypic marker of natural killer (NK) cells and is also expressed on NKT cells, a subset of activated CD8⁺ T cells, and certain neuronal and neuroendocrine tissues. In flow cytometry, CD56 staining intensity — in combination with CD16 — defines the two major human NK cell subsets: CD56ᵇʳⁱᵍʰᵗCD16⁻ (cytokine-producing, immunoregulatory) and CD56ᵈⁱᵐCD16⁺ (cytotoxic). Conjugated to PE (Ex/Em: 496, 565 nm / 578 nm) for bright, high-sensitivity detection, this antibody is ideal for NK cell analysis, lymphocyte subset characterization, and immune profiling in cancer immunotherapy, infectious disease, and reproductive immunology research.
