Product Overview :
Acid phosphatase (ACP) is widely distributed in tissues and is primarily localized in lysosomes. Using sodium β-glycerophosphate as substrate, ACP hydrolyzes phosphate under acidic conditions. The released phosphate reacts with lead ions to form lead phosphate, which is converted to brown-black lead sulfide.
The method is applicable to frozen and paraffin sections and shows strong positivity in prostate carcinoma and metastatic prostate cancer. This product is for research use only.
